Agilita was proud to be part of a great Clerkenwell Design Week 2023 which took place on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of May.
Clerkenwell came alive with open showrooms, exhibitions, workshops, and installations showcasing the breadth of creativity and innovation on our doorstep.
Agilita were proud to be launching the innovative Bio_Box sustainable meeting pod from Vank.
At our showroom in Turnmill Street we had lots going on to keep everybody entertained for the three day event, including breakfast, sustainability talks and plenty of prosecco and nibbles to go around.
BIO Materials
The materials used by VANK in their Bio-Panels are all 100% natural and are sustainably sourced making them carbon neutral and therefore having an honest background story. The natural materials are used to finish acoustic wall panels, desks, cabinets, and pods. We showed a number of VANK pieces at our showroom - the acoustic wall panels were especially popular. The panels are made from fibrous plants including flax and hemp. They can also be made from recycled PET. The materials used in the panels offers excellent insulation and sound absorption.
Ring Seating
Another hugely popular product on our stand was the Ring chair from VANK. The chairs cushions are made of industrial waste foam which would otherwise have gone to landfill. The distinctive upholstery has a ruched detail which some said could represent the ripples of water or the ocean, linking in perfectly with the theme of wellbeing. In a nutshell, the products proved to be so popular because not only do they have a fantastic sustainability story they are also aesthetically pleasing on the eye. The Ring seating range is very versatile with a wide range of options from relaxed easy chairs to high sofas and barstools.
AGILITA at DESIGN FIELDS
Not only did we have our showroom open to the public, but we also had a stand at Design Fields where we showcased our ‘TOOtheZOO’ furniture collection, which is designed for agile working. Jules Vreeswijk, the product designer of the collection was also there to help run the stand and offer an insight into his work.
Summary
The prosecco flowed, the showroom and the talks generated a lot of interest in our furniture and in Agilita as a whole. We have come back with a spring in our step and will continue to network and grow our brand.
Once again, Clerkenwell Design Week was a great experience and left us with plenty of inspiration.
